Charleston police have recovered the nine tablet computers and three laptops stolen from Ruffner Elementary Sunday, Kanawha County Schools' security director said Friday.
Keith Vititoe said someone had left a window at the school partially unlocked, and the thieves were able to steal the technology sometime between 4:30 and 6 a.m. Sunday.
"They're back at the school," Vititoe said Friday. "And we really appreciate the Charleston police being diligent and working on this case."
He didn't have further information. Charleston police didn't return calls for further information late Friday afternoon.
