CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Applications are available for historic preservation development grants through the West Virginia Division of Culture and History.
The State Historic Preservation Office says grants will be awarded from funding appropriated by Congress or the West Virginia Legislature. The deadline to apply is March 31.
Officials say that eligible projects include the restoration, rehabilitation or archaeological development of historic sites listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Applications must show evidence of public support and benefit.
Governmental properties that are not accessible to the public are not eligible for funding.
