Your donation to the United Way of Central West Virginia funds 29 member agencies that change lives! Here is one of many success stories:
During the holiday season a family applied for the services of a United Way of Central West Virginia member agency. Already in need themselves, the man explained his two grandchildren were also now living in his home and he was in need of food assistance for his growing household. The agency immediately added the family to monthly pantry disbursement. Service did not stop there. Information was forwarded to Saint Joseph Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus and the family also received items for Christmas and two new car seats for the grandchildren. Crying in gratitude, the grandmother explained she didn't know what they would have done without the help. Not only are United Way of Central West Virginia member agencies committed to the immediate basic needs of clients but also to partnerships that make an even larger impact on quality of life and well-being.
