PHILIPPI, W.Va. (AP) - Alderson Broaddus University is dropping two music majors from its academic programs.
University Board of Trustees chairman Ron Burbick says in a statement that the board voted recently to stop offering musical arts and music performance as part of the school's overall plan to operate more efficiently.
Burbick says the two majors weren't viable due to program enrollment levels. He says the university will still offer a music education major along with musical ensembles.
