The sentencing hearing for a former Freedom Industries official has been rescheduled again.
Charles Herzing is scheduled to be sentenced by U.S. District Judge Thomas Johnston at 2 p.m. on Feb. 2. The hearing was rescheduled from Feb. 10, after initially being rescheduled from December.
Herzing's lawyer, Stephen Jory, had a conflict on the Feb. 10 date, according to a court filing.
Six former Freedom officials and the company pleaded guilty to water pollution crimes in a deal with U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin.
Gary Southern will be sentenced at 2 p.m. on Feb. 17, Dennis Farrell at 2 p.m. on Feb. 11, and William Tis at 2 p.m. on Feb. 8. Robert Reynolds will be sentenced on 2 p.m. on Feb. 1 and Michael Burdette on 2 p.m. on Feb. 3. Freedom Industries will be sentenced at 2 p.m. on Feb. 4.
