FAIRMONT, W.Va. (AP) - Fairmont State University is planning rededication ceremony for a campus landmark.
The event for the One-Room Schoolhouse is set for Tuesday as part of the university's Homecoming 2015 Sesquicentennial Celebration. The ceremony celebrates a renovation project to restore the structural integrity and refresh the historical building and museum.
The schoolhouse dates to 1840. It ceased operation in the 1950s and in 1962 was moved to the campus of Fairmont State as a West Virginia Centennial project.
