Teen health fair
A teen health fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at George Washington High School, 1522 Tennis Club Road, Charleston. The fair was sponsored by the Girl Scout troop of Jennifer Slotnick as a project in which the scouts could obtain a gold award. More than 17 organizations will be on hand, including Daymark, GNC, Highland Hospital, Kanawha County Health Department, Nutrition Pit, Spinergy Cycling, Thomas Memorial Hospital, W.A.S., YMCA, YWCA, and many more. Admission is free and the first 200 teens will receive free cinch bags. Door prizes include a 32-inch Smart TV.
Parking lot sale
Putnam County Parks and Recreation will have its annual Fall Parking Lot Sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday on the Valley (Wave Pool) Park parking lot. Spaces are available for rental for $15. Ritter Live
Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District will present Ritter Live from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday in the Ritter Park Amphitheater. The concert is free. Performers are: Max Prussner, 2 to 2:30 p.m.; Emily Barnes, 2:30 to 3 p.m.; No Pretty Pictures, 3 to 3:50 p.m.; Creek Don't Rise from 4 to 4:50 p.m.; Frisco from 5 to 5:50 p.m.; and Under Surveillance, 6 to 7 p.m.
KCCA Village Yard Sale
The Kanawha City Community Association will sponsor the first Village Yard Sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 19 throughout Kanawha City. Participants and volunteers are needed.
