Charleston police are investigating after one person was shot in Kanawha City late Tuesday.
Kanawha Metro 911 dispatchers said it happened at about 9:30 p.m. in the 800 block of 57th Street, just off of Chesterfield Avenue. A man was shot. Dispatchers did not know the extent of his injuries or if he had been taken to a hospital.
The suspect was described only as a man, dispatchers said.
Little information was available as of press time.
City officers were at the scene working to gather more information.
