The Neighborhoods Helping Neighbors Flood Relief Fundraiser event Tuesday night at Appalachian Power Park included live music and food from restaurants across the city. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Mountain Mission to aid in their HOPE (Helping Our People along the Elk) program. The program's goal is to help Kanawha County residents rebuild homes damaged by floods with help from Cornerstone Interiors, Hands on West Virginia and Lowes in Kanawha City. While the funds now are geared toward Kanawha County residents, the program hopes to expand in to Clay and Braxton counties as more funds become available.
