A woman died Thursday night in a fire in Logan County.

The woman lived in a single-wide trailer at 1041 Crooked Creek Road in the Peach Creek area, said Justin Conley, a firefighter for the Logan Fire Department.

A fire was reported at her home at about 10 p.m.

The woman was dead when she was removed from the home.

Conley said it took about 35 to 40 minutes to extinguish the fire. He said the inside of the home was destroyed.

Conley said he had no reason to believe the fire was suspicious.

Henlawson Volunteer Fire Department and the State Fire Marshal's office also responded.

Courtney Rosemond, spokeswoman for the State Fire Marshal's office, said fire marshals still are investigating the cause of the fire.

Neither Conley nor Rosemond would release the woman's name.

Rosemond said 30 fatal fires have occurred in the state this year. At this time last year, 31 fatal fires had occurred.
