Lane Bailey to keynote Concord foundation dinner

Lane Bailey, CEO and co-founder of Advocom Group, will be the keynote speaker for the Concord University Foundation Charleston Dinner.

The dinner, which is one of the Foundation's major fundraisers of the year, will be held April 7 at the Charleston Marriott Town Center. A reception begins at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7. Proceeds from the event will be used to help fund scholarships and campus projects.

Bailey, a graduate of Concord College, was president of public affairs for the global public relations and government affairs firm Golin Harris. He previously served as chief of staff to U.S. Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., where his principal focus was job creation and international trade and investment. Bailey serves on the board of directors of the Blanchette Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute. He lives in northern Virginia and is based in Washington.

Tickets for the Charleston Dinner are $125 per person. Concord University faculty, staff, students and members of the Concord University Alumni Association may attend the dinner for $100 per person. Along with individual seating, tables and sponsorships of the event are also available. Advance reservations are required.
