In Around West Virginia today: a Clarksburg woman allegedly urinates on a police officer, the House votes to remove the time limit for sexual abuse civil cases, and a warrant is issued for the arrest of a candidate for magistrate, among other news stories.

n An intoxicated Clarksburg woman kicked a police officer in the leg, urinated on another officer and kicked another officer in the chest and knee, police say. Pamela Ann Schlichting has been charged with three felony counts of second-offense battery on an officer, according to The Exponent Telegram.

n About 25 people fell off a ski lift at Tucker County's Timberline Resort after it derailed Saturday, MetroNews reports. Two people were taken to the hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening. Officials hadn't given a specific number of people who fell on Saturday, but had said that the incident left 100 people stranded for about an hour.

n A bill to remove the time limit for filing civil suits in sexual abuse cases has passed the House of Delegates and now goes to the state Senate, The Register-Herald reports. The vote Monday morning was 98-1.

Jenefer Miller Crim, a survivor of sexual abuse, told the newspaper that the bill's passage would help victims require perpetrators pay for them to heal from the psychological trauma created by the abuse.

n A warrant for the arrest of a man running for magistrate in Fayette County was issued on Monday, according to The Register-Herald. A domestic violence protective order filed against Randy Prince, of Danese, banned him from being in the same residence as his girlfriend's daughter. The girl's father alleged that Prince violated the order by spending time with the girl and her mother at her mother's home. According to the protective order, Prince is accused of placing his girlfriend's daughter "in reasonable apprehension of physical harm."

n The state Supreme Court will not rule on whether former Marshall University football player Steward Butler can be charged with a hate crime. Butler allegedly punched two men after he saw them kissing in Huntington last year. Prosecutors and the defense attorney had asked the court in December if state code protects a person's civil rights if a crime is based on sexual orientation. Three of the five justices declined to answer the question. Only Justices Robin Jean Davis and Margaret L. Workman said they would accept the question.

n The Preston County Board of Education accepted the recommendation of the superintendent to suspend a teacher without pay, The Dominion Post reports. Preston High School teacher Jennifer Cook was charged with delivery of a controlled substance.
