BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (AP) - Three Republican lawmakers from Mercer County will host a public forum on tax reform in Bluefield.
The event is set for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Bluefield High School Performing Arts Center.
Delegate Marty Gearhart says he and colleagues John Shott and Joe Ellington want to hear from residents about their ideas to improve West Virginia's tax climate.
Gearhart is a member of the Legislature's Joint Select Committee on Tax Reform, which held a public comment hearing last month in the House of Delegates chamber. Gearhart said he wanted to give people who didn't have time to drive to Charleston a chance to be heard.
