Metropolitan Baptist Church, 205 Donnally St., will have its 100 Minutes of Zumba for 100 Years of Ministry in honor of its 100th anniversary at noon todayat the church. Registration fee is $25. For more information, call 304-342-4766.

International Ministers Wives and Ministers Widows of Charleston and the vicinity will celebrate their 30th Year Minister Wives Anniversary at 2 p.m. today at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. Musical guests will be Angie Richardson, Minister Tamica Henry, James Carter, Levi Dance Youth and various other musical artists.

First Presbyterian Church invites everyone to participate in the Lay Academy of Religion, which meets from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Room 205 in the Activities Building of the church, located at 16 Leon Sullivan Way in Charleston. The group will continue to study Dr. Ilea Delio's workshop "God and New Cosmology." Delio shows how religion is still intertwined with ancient Ptolemaic cosmology, whereas culture is in tune with modern science, which begins with the Big Bang and 14 billion years of evolution, General Relativity and Quantum Physics. She argues that if that mindset is continued we will become extinct like the dinosaurs. Everyone is invited to join the church for the learning sessions and to discuss pros and cons, strengths and limitations in Delio's arguments. The Upper Kanawha Valley Minister and Deacon Fellowship will have it's Fourth Sunday Fellowship service at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Eagle Central Baptist Church in Eagle (Montgomery). The speaker will be Pastor Richard R. Ballard Jr., of Eagle Central Baptist Church. Ballard is president of the Fellowship.

Teays Valley Church of God in Scott Depot will host a Drug Information Summit from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church. The Summit will host speakers Sheriff Steve Deweese, Judge Phillip Stowers, Bill O'Dell of the Putnam Wellness Coalition and Drug Prevention Coordinator for Putnam Board of Education, Danielle Gillispie. The public is invited to hear information on current drug trends, prevention, and follow-up in our community. Parents, come hear about how you can develop a strategy for talking with your students about the dangers of drugs. Campbells Creek Church of the Nazarene will have a pancake fundraiser from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church, which is located at 543 Campbell Drive, Charleston. The Campbells Creek Food Pantry at the same address will have a yard sale in the morning as long as it does not rain.

The Green Valley Church of God CWC at 518 Green Valley Drive, St. Albans, will have its annual rummage, hot dog and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the church. Teays Valley Church of God will offer a Single and Parenting Support Group class from 2:15 to 3:45 p.m. Sundays. The group will feature video sessions to help parents develop effective strategies on being a single parent. Each group topic is self-contained so participants may start at any time. Teays Valley Church of God will sponsor a new Divorce Care Support Group that will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays at Teays Valley Church of God, 6979 Teays Valley Road, Scott Depot. Participants will view a DVD, which covers topics such as depression, anger, loneliness, financial survival, child care, forgiveness, moving on and more. Elk River Church of the Nazarene, 143 Dutch Road, will have its fall festival from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the church. The festival is free. Activities include Trunk or Treat, ring toss, musical chairs, pumpkin golf, pumpkin bean bag toss, pumpkin seed spitting contest, hay ride, duck pond for young children and a photo opportunity. Free chili, chicken noodle soup, crackers, popcorn, water and Kool-Aid will be served in the fellowship hall.

A candlelight service will be at 5 p.m. Nov. 8 at LEVI First Missionary Baptist Church, 5125 Church Drive, Rand. The Rev. Carl Day, pastor of First Baptist Hansford, will be the guest speaker. First Baptist's choir and congregation also are invited.

Ferguson Memorial Baptist Church of 124 Marshall Avenue, Dunbar, will have its Annual Mass Choir Fall Concert at 4 p.m. Sunday under the direction of Minister Jonathan Wesley and Assistant Minister Stanley Williams.

The annual fall gospel sing at Harper Memorial Gospel Tabernacle at the corner of Big Tyler Road and Harper Road, Cross Lanes, will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday .
