A pile-up involving 11 vehicles caused traffic to slow down Friday afternoon between the Cross Lanes and Nitro exits from Interstate 64 west.
The crash occurred at 5:33 p.m. at the 46 mile marker. Authorities still are assessing the damage.
It wasn't known if there were injuries in the crash. Medics were on their way to the site.
