CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The West Virginia State Bar says it is sponsoring a video competition related to the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta.
Middle school and high school students across the state are eligible to make a 3-minute video on "The Magna Carta: What It Means Today."
Parental permission is required. Applications are due by Dec. 15 and videos will be submitted Jan. 29. First-place winners in middle school and high school categories will receive $500 and an overnight stay for one child and one parent at The Greenbrier on April 3, during the State Bar Annual Meeting.
Second-place winners will receive $250. Third through seventh place finishers will receive a $25 gift card.
