CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The West Virginia Governor's Mansion will once again feature a holiday tree decorated with ornaments hand made by the state's artists.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin and his wife, Joanne Jaeger Tomblin, first suggested trimming the tree with such ornaments four years ago. They got 75 ornaments.

Last year, more than 140 ornaments were delivered for the so-called "Artistree" project. The first lady says she's looking forward to seeing how many will arrive this year. She says the ornaments "are a wonderful reflection of the traditional and the contemporary styles of art and of the way people see our state."

The Artistree will stand in the foyer of the Governor's Mansion and will be unveiled during the annual Joyful Night celebration on Dec. 1.
