CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - What if they held a public comment period and nobody commented?
That's what happened on a proposal to move the downtown Clarksburg Post Office.
The Exponent Telegram reports that Postal Service real estate specialist Richard Hancock says he received no comments for or against the relocation plan during a 30-day public comment period that expired Saturday. He says he's heard from some people offering space, but that's premature.
The Postal Service is considering moving out of its three-story building and leasing smaller space. Hancock says no firm decisions have been made.
The federal courthouse, which also is in the building, would not be affected by the move.
