LOGAN, W.Va. - A Logan County vocational school teacher faces a sex abuse charge involving a former student.
Media outlets report that West Virginia State Police arrested John Cain, 49, of Mallory on Friday after the alleged victim came forward. Cain is charged with sexual abuse by a guardian or custodian and enticing a minor using obscene material.
Cain is a teacher at the Ralph R. Willis Career and Technical Center in Logan. He's listed on the school's website as a carpentry and building construction teacher.
Logan County Schools Superintendent Phyllis Doty says Cain has been placed on leave from the school.
It wasn't immediately known whether Cain has an attorney. A telephone listing for him couldn't be found.
