A Charleston man was shot as he sat in his car on Saturday afternoon, police say.
Jordache Collins, 23, of Charleston, was sitting in his Lexus around 12:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of Clay Avenue on the West Side when another man in a white Ford Mustang drove up next to him and shot him, said Lt. Steve Cooper, chief of detectives for Charleston Police Department. The bullet grazed his head.
Collins fled the scene immediately and didn't call the police, and instead called his mother, police say.
Cooper said a black man in his late teens or early 20s shot Collins.
