The St. Albans Coin Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the basement of the St. Albans Municipal Water Co. Building, 1499 MacCorkle Ave., St. Albans. For information, call 304-727-4062.

The Point Pleasant River Museum and Learning Center will sponsor a Summer River Cruise on the Ohio River from 7 to 9:30 p.m. July 25 on the Belle of Cincinnati. Board at 6:30 p.m. at the Point Pleasant Riverfront Park. A buffet dinner will be feature and Joey Wilcoxon will provide entertainment. Tickets are $50 for adults and kids ages 4-12, $25. WV Pumpkin Festival Teen, Queen, Ms. and Mrs. Pageants The 2016 WV Pumpkin Festival Teen, Queen, Ms. and Mrs. pageants will be held at 6 p.m. Aug. 13 at the WV Pumpkin Park in Milton. Entrants must be a resident of West Virginia. Entry fee is $100 if entered by Aug. 6. The Queen will reign over the 2016 WV Pumpkin Festival Oct. 6-9 and also represent the WV Pumpkin Festival at the 2017 WV Association of Fairs and Festivals Pageant in January 2017. The Charleston Police Department is now accepting applications for enrollment in its free Citizens' Police Academy, an 11-week law enforcement program that is open to anyone, 18 or older, who is interested. Participants will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays at the Charleston Police Department Training Center.

The Citizens' Police Academy will start Sept. 6. Each week, a different law enforcement topic will be presented with classroom and hands-on instruction by police officers. Seating is limited and will be on a first come, first serve basis. Applications are at the Charleston Police Department (Public Services Division) or online at

www.charlestonwvpolice.org and should be returned to the Police Department by Aug. 19. For more information, call 304-348-6470.
