Charlotte Pritt is again running to be West Virginia's governor, this time on the Mountain Party's ticket.
Pritt accepted on Saturday the party's nomination to run for governor, 20 years after she was defeated by Republican Cecil Underwood in her first attempt for the office.
The year before that, Pritt defeated now U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin in a race for the Democratic nomination.
The Mountain Party held its annual convention Saturday in Bridgeport where its members nominated Pritt, who also is a former member of the state Senate and House of Delegates.
In 2012, she was chosen to lead the Mountain Party, the state's Green Party affiliate, as its chairwoman. She went on to lead the party for two years.
