'Montessori Meet-Ups'
Mountaineer Montessori School, 308 20th Street, is offering a series of "Montessori Meet-Ups" to connect families and the community with a wide range of educational, entertaining and enriching summer activities. Events in June include: Saturday, FestivAll Children's Art Fair. Stop by the MMS booth at the Kanawha County Public Library for a child-friendly make-and-take art project. Fourth of July picnic
St. John's Episcopal Church, 1105 Quarrier St., will sponsor a Fourth of July Picnic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 4 at the church. Food will be provided to the homeless, elderly and whoever would like to have a meal, no questions asked. For information, call 304-345-7121.
Support group
A Gambling Addiction Support group meets at 6 p.m. each Monday at Blessed Sacrament Church, Room One, South Charleston. The group meeting is free, confidential and open to anyone who feels they may have a gambling problem. Attendees may bring a friend or family member for support as well.
