Republican executive committee
The next meeting of the Kanawha County Republican Executive Committee will be 6 p.m. today at the Kanawha County Courthouse. Matt Crook, field director of Americans for Prosperity-West Virginia, will be the special speaker. Updates on the results of the May 10 primary and the results of the Kanawha County Republican Convention will be discussed. All Republicans are welcome to attend.
Coin club

Woodworkers meeting
Valley Woodworkers of West Virginia (VWWV) will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at 300 12th Street, Dunbar. The Charleston Area Alliance will present the Elevations Professional Women's Network Luncheon: "Leadership and the Importance of Mentorship," a conversation with West Virginia's first female brigadier general, Paige P. Hunter, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Charleston Marriott, 200 Lee St. E.
