WHEELING, W.Va. (AP) - The West Virginia Secretary of State's Office is waiting for 18 counties to submit the official voting results from the state's primary election in May.

The Intelligencer reports that state Republicans won't determine their list of delegates until the office of the secretary certifies the votes.

Many counties have delayed their certification while others are waiting for their county commissions to approve the results.

Political director for the West Virginia GOP Jordan Burgess says Republicans want to make sure the list is correct before they can put it out.

The office of the secretary of state has until June 9 to certify election results.

Spokeswoman for the secretary of state's office Briana Wilson says 37 of West Virginia's 55 counties have submitted vote totals.
