All tickets to see Bill Nye speak next month were reserved shortly after they became available Monday.
"They were all reserved in less than an hour this morning. It was crazy over here," Clay Center spokeswoman LeAnn Cain said.
Cain said all 1,883 seats in the Maier Foundation Performance Hall were made available to the public.
The nationally renowned science educator and former children's television host will visit Charleston in November as part of the Chancellor's STEM Speaker Series, hosted by the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission's Division of Science and Research.
Nye's lecture takes place at 7 p.m. on Nov. 19.
The Clay Center has a waiting list for those who were not able to get seats. To have your name added, call the box office at 304-561-3570.
It's possible seats reserved for sponsors may be opened to the public if they don't fill up, Cain said. In that case, those on the waiting list would be contacted.
