Breast cancer walk
The GFWC Woman's Club of Cross Lanes is sponsoring the Mary Fletcher Breast Cancer Awareness Walk from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Cross Lanes Elementary track, 5525 Big Tyler Road. This is not a timed race. Registration is $5. Registration forms are available on Facebook.com/GFWC-Woman's Club of Cross Lanes. Checks made payable to GFWC Woman's Club of Cross Lanes. Proceeds will be directed to the Boutique at the Breast Center, at the CAMC imaging center. The walk also honors a GFWC Woman's Club member, Mary Fletcher, who is battling breast cancer.
Footmad picnic
FOOTMAD (Friends of Old-Time Music and Dance) will hold its annual picnic from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Coonskin Park's shelter No. 15. There will be a potluck lunch with grilled burgers, hot dogs and tofu dogs with all the trimmings. Following a business meeting, there will be jamming, singing, hiking and social time. International sorority
Alpha Lambda Master chapter of Beta Sigma Phi International sorority will hold their final meeting of the year at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Quarry Manor on South Park Road in Kanawha City. Executive Chef Andrew Quesenberry will prepare dinner, and President Rhonda Ashworth will lead the business meeting. Installation of officers and Secret Sister revealing will be held.
CVB training
The Charleston CVB will be holding an ambassador orientation/training at 10 a.m. on Monday at the Club House at Appalachian Power Park, 601 Morris St. Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer for the CVB is encouraged to attend. St. Albans Coin club
