Manchin's office to launch 'Commonsense Connections' week

U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin's office will launch its eighth "Commonsense Connections" Week beginning Monday. Representatives from Sen. Manchin's office will make more than 80 stops across the state to bring federal government to West Virginians, hear their commonsense priorities and concerns, and to take this information back to the Senator.

A list of local stops include:

Boone County: 10:30 a.m. to noon, May 26, Barrett-Wharton Public Library, W.Va. 85, Wharton.

Braxton: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday, Sutton Public Library, 500 Main St., Sutton; and 1 to 2:30 p.m., Monday, Gassaway Public Library, 536 Elk St., Gassaway.

Cabell: noon to 1:30 p.m., May 27, Huntington City Hall, City Clerk's Conference Room, 800 5th Ave., Huntington; and 2 to 3:30 p.m., May 27, Village of Barboursville Convention and Visitors Bureau, 701 Main St., Barboursville.

Clay: 8:30 to 10 a.m., Monday, Clay County Courthouse, 246 Main St., Clay.

Fayette: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., May 24, Fayette County Public Library, 611 Main St., Oak Hill.

Greenbrier: 10 to 11:30 a.m., May 24, White Sulphur Springs Public Library, 203 W Main St., White Sulphur Springs.

Jackson: 2 to 3:30 p.m., May 26, Ripley City Hall, Council Chambers, 113 South Church St., Ripley; and 5 to 6:30 p.m., May 26, Ravenswood Public Library, 323 Virginia St., Ravenswood.

Kanawha: 2 to 3:30 p.m., May 26, Sissonville Public Library, 1 Tinney Lane, Charleston; and 4:30 to 6 p.m., May 26, Dunbar Public Library, 301 12th Street, Dunbar.

Lincoln: 9:30 to 11 a.m., May 27, Alum Creek Public Library, 255 Midway School Road, Alum Creek.

Logan: 1 to 2:30 p.m., May 26, Logan Area Public Library, 16 Wildcat Way, Logan; and 3 to 4:30 p.m., May 26, Chief Logan State Park Museum in the Park, 800 Wolfpen Hollow Road, Logan.

Mason: 9 to 10:30 a.m., May 26, Point Pleasant City Hall, Council Chambers, 400 Viand St., Point Pleasant; and 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., May 26, New Haven Public Library, 106 Main Street, New Haven.

Nicholas: 2 to 3:30 p.m., Monday, Nicholas County Courthouse, 700 Main St., Summersville.

Putnam: 1:30 to 3 p.m., May 27, Hurricane Public Library, 410 Midland Trail, Hurricane.

Raleigh: 3:15 to 4:45 p.m., May 24, Shady Spring Public Library, 440 Flat Top Road, Shady Spring.

Roane: 3 to 4:30 p.m., May 25, Roane County Library, 110 Parking Plaza, Spencer.
