Finance/golf committee
The Finance/Golf Committee of the Kanawha County Parks and Recreation Commission will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Coonskin Administrative Office, Coonskin Park. The agenda is available at the park office. Call 304-341-8000 for information.
Woodworkers
Valley Woodworkers of West Virginia will have their monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at 300 12 Street, Dunbar. Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month. To learn more, visit valleywoodworkers.org.
Seed library
The Putnam County Library has a new Seed Library collection available at the library's main branch. A Seed Library is a depository of seeds for patrons of the library. Patrons grow the plants in their garden or containers and at the end of the season, they let a few plants "go to seed." From these plants, they will hopefully have enough seeds to return some of them to the library for future patrons to borrow. Seeds are free to patrons of the Putnam County Library. Housing authority
The Charleston-Kanawha Housing Authority Board of Commissioners will meet at 1:30 p.m. May 16 at 1525 Washington Street West.
