The West Virginia State Bar has announced new officers and members of The West Virginia State Bar Board of Governors for 2016-2017. New officers are:
John R. McGhee Jr., president; Meshea L. Poore, president-elect; and Frederick M. Dean Rohrig, vice-president.
Newly elected members of The State Bar's Board of Governors are: Joshua D. Miller, David Luke Furbee, Alfred Joseph Munoz, Ronald F. Stein Jr. and Thomas E. Scarr.
Newly elected officers of The State Bar's Young Lawyers Executive Committee are Matthew L. Harvey, chairperson; Shannon P. Smith, vice-chairperson; and Linnsey Amores, secretary.
New Members of the Young Lawyers Executive Committee are: Matthew G. Chapman, Jeffrey O. Dye II, David Kyle Moore and T. Matthew Lockhart.

The West Virginia Humanities Council elected four new members to its board of directors during the spring board meeting on April 15 in Beckley. New members include Jon E. Cawthorne, Leslie Dillon, Marsha V. Krotseng and Donald Mock.
Current members Kevin Barksdale, Cheryl Hartley and Susan Landis were elected to a second term on the board.
