A pie sale will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday on the parking lot at the Ronald McDonald House, 302 30th St., Kanawha City. In case of rain, the sale will be moved inside. Proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald House.

The Prestera Foundation and Lee Graphics Printing and Office Supplies will host "Fiesta! Nacho Average Fundraiser, A Benefit for Prestera Center" at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday in the Don Morris Room of the Marshall University Memorial Student Center. The evening will begin with a reception followed by dinner and dancing. Music will be provided by City Heat. There will be a silent auction and raffles throughout the evening. Individual tickets are $50 and corporate tables begin at $500. The event is casual and comfortable; "fiesta wear" is encouraged. Helvetia Ramp Supper will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. (or until food runs out) on Saturday in the Helvetia Community Hall, Adolph Road, Helvetia, Randolph County. Enjoy ramps, ham, fried potatoes, soup beans, coleslaw, applesauce, cornbread, desserts and beverages. Cost is $15 for adults and $7 children. Square dance will be held with music by the Helvetia Star Band follows. Cost is $5.

The Kanawha County Republican Women's Club will hold its monthly meeting at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Charleston Civic Center. A speaker's forum for candidates running for office or re-election will be held. There will be a buffet available and parking is free. For more information, call 304-965-5365.

The Putnam County Parks and Convention and Visitors Bureau is sponsoring a free Princess Party for ages 1-12 at 10 a.m. May 21 at the Community Center located at the Valley (Wave Pool) Park. Bring cameras to have pictures taken with Fairy Godmother. Refreshments will be featured. Reservations are not needed. For information, call the park office at 304-562-0518, ext. 103.

The South Charleston Convention and Visitors Bureau will sponsor the 57th Armed Forces Day Parade at noon on May 21. Groups or individuals who would like to participate in the parade email sochascvb@yahoo.com or call Mary or Beth at 304-746-5552.
