Just in time for early voting, which begins April 27, the Gazette-Mail is debuting its elections page.
The page contains information about candidates, what they're running for, who they're running against and what their positions are.
It also contains video of candidate interviews with Gazette-Mail staff, maps so people can see who is running in their district and all stories that pertain to the election.
In choosing who to profile, the Gazette-Mail focused on elections with contested primaries.
If you pull it up on election night, the page will have live updates from Gazette-Mail staff throughout the night, keeping you informed on how the election is going.
After the primary, the page will shift its focus a bit, providing more information about candidates running for state Senate and House of Delegates.
Most of the local races that are highlighted are Kanawha County races, but there are a few Putnam County races highlighted as well.
