BUCKHANNON, W.Va. (AP) - A religious organization has created a foundation to serve health care needs throughout West Virginia.
The Exponent Telegram reports that the Pallottine Missionary Sisters, Queen of Apostles Province, created the Pallottine Foundation of Buckhannon to serve health-care-related needs in Barbour, Lewis, Randolph, Upshur and Webster counties.
The foundation will provide grant funding for various qualified organizations through its annual grant award process. The foundation will focus its funding awards on areas including health and wellness, leadership development, lifestyle education and spiritual care.
Gail Borgmeyer, provincial for the Queen of Apostles Province, says the foundation will continue the organization's dedicated care for the community.
