Movie rescheduled

The movie, "Cinderella," originally scheduled for this Saturday at the LaBelle Theater, 311 D St., South Charleston, has been rescheduled for 2 p.m. Oct. 3. Admission is free.

Senior health fest

Cabell Huntington Hospital's SeniorFest, open to anyone age 50 and over, will be held Saturday at the hospital. SeniorFest is open to anyone age 50 and over. Screenings, as well as medication reviews and free flu shots will be available. Students at the Marshall University School of Pharmacy will be volunteering. Trail club hikes

Kanawha Trail Club will sponsor a hike will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Watters Smith and Stonewall Jackson State Parks The hike is 4 miles on Watters Smith and 1 mile at Stonewall Jackson. The hike is considered moderate to easy trails. A hike will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Kanawha State Forest's Johnson Hollow/Middle Ridge/Logtown trails. This 3-mile hike has some moderate hills with some tricky footing down Logtown. Carpool for both of these hikes from the parking lot at the corner of Ohio and Randolph streets across from the post office.

Sorority meeting

Torchbearer Alpha Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the home of Luanna Jones. Plans for the current service project and October social will be finalized. Jones will present the program.

Community picnic

The residents of Academy Drive in Institute will have a picnic 12:30 p.m. Oct. 3 on Academy Drive. The deadline is approaching and the total number of attendees is needed. Call 304-768-0447 if you are planning to attend.

WV Makes Festival

The Robert C. Byrd Institute for Advanced Flexible Manufacturing and a group of statewide partners will present the 2015 West Virginia Makes Festival, a celebration of ingenuity and creativity, on Oct. 2 at Heritage Farm Museum and Village in Huntington. The festival is scheduled to coincide with national Manufacturing Day, RCBI's annual celebration focuses on today's manufacturing. The event is open to all and will feature 3D Printing, special exhibits and attractions, local food vendors and tours. A Design Challenge will be held and prizes awarded.
