CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - A Clarksburg man has been sentenced after leaving his 11-month-old child alone inside a locked car at a parking lot.

The Exponent Telegram reports that Harrison County Chief Judge Thomas A. Bedell sentenced 35-year-old Jason Jeremy Cole to 1-5 years on Friday.

The term will run concurrent with time Cole is already serving from a separate case.

Cole had been arrested on a felony child neglect charge after leaving the child inside a car at a Wal-Mart parking lot in September. Police say Cole's stepfather eventually found the child in the parking lot after Cole had showed up to his home without the infant. The child was unharmed.
