Charleston police are asking for help looking for a man they say robbed a drugstore in Charleston Friday evening. The man reportedly came into the CVS pharmacy on Oakwood Road shortly before 9 p.m. Friday with a gun and ordered a clerk and pharmacist to fill a trash bag with pills, Lt. Steve Cooper said. Police are still determining how much the pills are worth, but said the man took thousands of them.

Cooper said during the robbery the suspect told the clerk and pharmacist that he is HIV positive and has nothing to live for. The man was wearing a camouflage mask. He is described as being a white male, 6'2" and left handed. He may have left the store and headed south on Corridor G.

Cooper said the man is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Police ask that anyone with information about the robbery call the CPD's Criminal Investigations Division at 304-348-6480 or the non-emergency number at Kanawha County Metro 911, 304-348-8111.
