Thomas Health System will be hosting a Prime of Life Health Screening from 7:30 to 11 a.m. today at the Thomas Care Clinic on West Virginia State University Campus, James C. Wilson University Union. Several free screenings include: blood sugar and blood pressure screenings as well as flu shots. Also, for a cost of $10 each, additional screenings include lipid profiles, PSA, TSH, hemoglobin A1-C; CBC and CMP. Cash or check will be accepted. Screenings cannot be billed to insurance. Bob Evans in Kanawha City will participate in a fundraiser to benefit REACH Rape Crisis Program today and Feb. 25. Bob Evans will donate 15 percent of orders at checkout for those presenting a flyer that can be downloaded at www.facebook.com/events/189746904719695/. Dine in or carry-out is available. Alpha Theta Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa will meet at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church of Dunbar. The program will be on making jewelry.

Huntington Area Hiking Club will host a group hike at noon on Saturday on Three Bridges Trail at Carter Caves State Park in Olive Hill, Kentucky. This will be a 3.5-mile hike of moderate intensity. The Collaborative, Marshall University School of Art and Design's hands-on, student-centered art workshop at the Visual Arts Center returns Saturday. Students in grades 6-8 can collaboratively explore relevant real-world themes by responding to art and creating art under the guidance of an art education professor, upper-level art education students and a visual arts major. The workshop, which includes four two-hour sessions on consecutive Saturdays, costs $40. Make checks payable to Marshall University and mail with the registration form.
