Kanawha animal shelter now critically full
The Kanawha County Humane Association has recently impounded a record 98 animals and the shelter is critically full. Adoption fees will be waived now through Sunday. Hours are noon to 6 p.m. Animals can be viewed on the "Available Dogs" and "Available Cats" tabs at the top of their Facebook page.
Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, heartworm test (dogs only), and 30 days of free pet insurance (pets over 12 weeks only).
Donations of pet supplies are also needed. Donate directly to KCHA at the Greenbrier Street facility, online on Amazon Wish List at http://tinyurl.com/kchawishlist or from Green's Feed and Seed by calling them at 304-343-0441 to donate for supplies by phone. The greatest need is Purina Dog Chow. Green's Feed and Seed will deliver donated supplies.
