The Charleston Chapter 0166 of NARFE, National Active and Retired Federal Employees, will meet at 10 a.m. on Friday at the South Charleston Library, 312 Fourth Ave. The principal speaker will be W. Spencer Byrn, the manager of Colonial Financial Group, who will discuss investment strategies in retirement, including required minimum distributions at age 70 1/2 and beyond. The Tri-State Amateur Radio Association will offer examinations for new or upgraded Amateur Radio "Ham" License from the Federal Communications Commission at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the Museum of Radio and Technology, 1640 Florence Ave., off Harvey Road in Huntington. All examination elements will be offered for all Amateur Radio License classes. A $15 fee will be charged per test. Bring all necessary forms and acceptable identification.
