The Kanawha Valley Regional Transportation Authority will be changing routes starting Oct. 11, according to a news release.

The route changes, along with the recent change to a flat rate system, "will get passengers to their destinations faster and will improve connectivity to important travel destinations," according to the release, sent by KRT assistant general manager Doug Hartley. The route changes will create more consistent and frequent service in primary travel corridors, simplify route patterns and increase access to non-downtown travel destinations, the release stated.

New schedules with the route changes will be at KRT stations and the Transit Mall in downtown Charleston early next week.
