Randy Gifford Promotions presents the 8th Annual New, New Year's Eve Gospel Sing at 7 p.m. Thursday at Riverside High School. Ron Pauley, pianist, performs at 6:30 p.m. The sing features Courtney Perry, Brothers in the Cross Quartet, The BrighterSide Quartet and making their first appearances, The West Virginia Couriers Quartet and The Original Praisemen: Johnny, Greg, Scott and Eddie.

Outreach Ministries LLC presents the WV New Year's Eve Southern Gospel Spectacular 2015 on Thursday at Valley Park Community Center (Wave Pool Park), 1 Valley Park Drive, Hurricane. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the concerts begin at 7 p.m. Singers include: Gold City Quartet, Adam Crabb of the Gaither Vocal Band, The Nelons, Allison Speer, Wilburn and Wilburn, Mark Bishop, Angela Primm, and "The Incredible" piano player, Timothy Noble. The Father's House Missionary Baptist Church in North Charleston will have a Watch Night Service at 10 p.m. Thursday. Everyone is welcome.

Fisher Memorial Church will have its New Year's Service from 8 p.m. to midnight on Thursday. The Choraliers, Freeman Newhouse, Lathey Family, New Life Singers, FMC Young Adult Singers, FMC Quartet and Choir will sing. The Rev. Ronnie Nida will speak at 9:30 p.m. A Fellowship Hour will be held from 10 to 11 p.m. and refreshments will be served in the Family Center. Everyone returns to the Sanctuary at 11 p.m. for the remaining service, including ringing of the church bells at the midnight hour when everyone gathers at the altar in Family Prayer. Pastor Aaron Finney invites you to attend the entire service or any portion of it. This service has continued for more than 50 years. The church is located half a mile on Dudden Fork Road off the Goldtown Exit of Interstate 77.

Pilgrim Home Baptist Church, St. Paul Baptist Church, Mount Zion Baptist Church, New First Baptist Church of Kanawha City, First Baptist Church of Vandalia and Community Baptist Church will have a combined New Year's Eve Watch Night Services on Thursday at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church located at 442 McDonald Ave. in South Charleston. A repast will be served from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. and services are from 9:30 p.m. to midnight. The Rev. Shelly A. Bausley, pastor of Pilgrim Home Baptist Church, will be bringing forth the preached word and The Men's Choir of Pilgrim Home, St. Paul and Vandalia will combine and do a concert from 9:30 to 10:30 p.m.

The Believers and soloist Jim Edens will sing New Year's Eve during a service beginning at 8 p.m. Thursday at East Nitro Baptist Church at Elm Street and Washington Avenue in Nitro.

Alta Church of God will have a Watch Night Service at 7 p.m. Thursday at the church. There will be singing, preaching and praising the Lord for what he has done this year and for the coming year 2016. Pastor is Paul E. Young.

The West Virginia New Year's Eve Southern Gospel Spectacular 2015 will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, New Year's Eve, at Valley Park Community Center (Wave Pool Park), 1 Valley Park Drive in Hurricane. Charleston Mountain Mission, 7th Avenue and Stockton Street, will hold a Watch Night Service from 8 p.m. to midnight on Thursday with a break at 10 p.m. The Doug Humphreys Family and The Jay Humphreys Family will sing, and Assistant Pastor the Rev. Kenny Petry will bring the message. Everyone is welcome.

King of Glory International Ministries and Living Water Worship Centre will sponsor a New Year's Eve Celebration at 10 p.m. on Thursday at King of Glory International Ministries, 302 Delaware Ave. King of Glory pastors are Apostle Tina M. Beatty, Senior Pastor; Roslyn L. Williams, Pastor; and Ron C. Beatty, Youth Pastor. Living Water Worship Centre's pastor is Scott White. The special guest speaker at 11 a.m. on Jan. 3 will be Dr. Mark Walker.

Bring in the New Year at Abundant Life Ministries, 1534 Washington St. E., at 10 p.m. on Thursday with its New Years' Eve Praise Party and Concert. For more information call the church at 304-342-0058.

The Charleston Black Ministerial Alliance Inc., Dr. Martin Luther King Birthday Celebration service will be held at 4 p.m. Jan. 10 at All Nations Revival Center, 325 Academy Drive, Institute. Host pastor is Bishop Frederick Hightower. Speaker for the service will be Presiding Elder Sandy Drayton, former pastor of St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Charleston. The Martin Luther King Jr. Male Chorus will provide music. Missionaries are requested to wear white and clergy should wear their clerical robe. The public is encouraged to attend.

Teays Valley Church of God will offer a Single and Parenting Support Group class from 2:15 to 3:45 p.m. Sundays. The group will feature video sessions to help parents develop effective strategies on being a single parent. Each group topic is self-contained so participants may start at any time. Call 304-757-9222 to register. The class is free, however, there is a $15 fee for the workbook. Teays Valley Church of God is located at 6979 Teays Valley Road in Scott Depot, just east of Exit 40 off Interstate 64 up on the hill.

Teays Valley Church of God will sponsor a new Divorce Care Support Group that will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays at Teays Valley Church of God, 6979 Teays Valley Road, Scott Depot. Participants will view a DVD, which covers topics such as depression, anger, loneliness, financial survival, kid care, forgiveness, moving on and more. The Upper Kanawha Valley Ministers and Deacons will hold its New Year's Eve service at 10 p.m. Thursday at the Eagle Central Baptist Church, Eagle. Come usher in the New Year with prayer, song and the word of God.

The Chuck Wagon Gang: Celebrating 80 Years of Gospel Music will be in concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Walton Union Church, 7080 Charleston Road in Walton.

One Accord will sing at 6 p.m. Sunday at Parsons Chapel, 6th Avenue.

Special services

Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 442 McDonald St., South Charleston will feature the Rev. Mahlon Dungey as guest speaker at the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service.

Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, 522 Buffington St., Huntington, will have Sunday school at 10 a.m. and the morning worship at 11 a.m. Sunday with pastor Jason C. Black preaching some Christmas messages. The evening service at 6 p.m. Sunday will feawture the choir singing and Pastor Jason C. Black preaching Christmas messages. The prayer meeting and youth group meetings will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesdays with Pastor Jason C. Black preaching.

The Upper Kanawha Valley Ministers and Deacons Fellowship will hold its Fourth Sunday Fellowship Service at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 141 Morris Drive, Montgomery. Speaker will be the Rev. Douglas Mullen, pastor of St. John.
