The West Virginia Trappers Association will hold its annual convention on Friday and Saturday at the Gilmer County Recreation Center, 1365 Sycamore Run, Glenville. The Board of Directors meeting will be Friday evening and the general meeting/auction is scheduled for Saturday. Admission is free. Mary Ingles Trail Association encampment
The Mary Ingles Trail Association will have its 2015 Legacy of Mary Ingles encampment and living history event Friday through Sunday in cooperation with Beech Fork Lake State Park. The 260th anniversary of Mary Ingles' 1755 odyssey after she was captured by, and escaped from, Shawnee Indians will be celebrated. Ronald McDonald House fundraiser
The Ronald McDonald House has entertainment books for sale this year for $25 each. Funds raised help accommodate families of sick children who are being treated in local hospitals who live too far to travel each day.
