Mobile office visit
The Office of the West Virginia Attorney General will sponsor a mobile office from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Loop Pharmacy, St. Albans. Consumer Protection Field Staff will be available to answer questions about consumer issues affecting the area, such as scams. Marmet festivities
The town of Marmet will have its second Christmas Parade at 7 p.m. Friday. Festivities include Santa, stockings for children and the lighting of the Christmas Tree at Marmet ball field.
Putnam Democratic women
The Putnam County Chapter of the West Virginia Federation of Democratic Women will hold their holiday luncheon at noon on Saturday at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club. The cost is $12 per person. Installation of 2016 Officers with special guest, The Honorable Judge Phillip Stowers, will be featured. Donations are welcome for the annual holiday drive. Bring a $5 gift to exchange. Santa visit
The Charleston Gold Dome Lions Club will present a visit from Santa Claus from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Shoney's on Kanawha Boulevard. Children of all ages are welcome to talk to Santa. Parents are welcome to bring a camera to take their own pictures. A donation jar will be available for parents to contribute toward the Lions' projects and charities if they desire.
Civic Chorus
The Hurricane Civic Chorus, under the direction of Dr. Larry Stickler and accompanied by Tom Minshall, will be performing at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hurricane Gazebo before the Christmas parade. The Chorus will also be performing their Christmas concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19 at Forrest Burdette United Methodist Church.
Motorcycle toy run

Richwood holiday events
Richwood will fill the stores on Main Street, City Hall and the Richwood Public Library with more than 45 vendors offering quality handmade gift items and more traditional gift items for holiday shoppers from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Other offerings include food vendors selling hot dogs, kettle corn and chili, and live music on Main Street. Santa will be at the Richwood Public Library from 1 to 4 p.m. Maps of participating vendors and locations may be picked up at the Richwood Chamber office or Richwood City Hall. Donations sought
The Raleigh County Deputy Sheriff's Association is accepting donations to support the annual "Shop with a Deputy" program. Each sponsored child will be given $100 to spend on clothing and toys ($50 must be spent on clothing). Donations can be made at the Raleigh County Sheriff's Office, or to any member of the Raleigh County Deputy Sheriff's Association. Members of the Raleigh County DSA will be at Crossroads Mall accepting donations over the weekend as well. For every $10 donated, donors will receive a chance to win a new Polaris RZR side-by-side. The drawing will be held Dec. 20 and winners do not need to be present to win.
