World AIDS Day observance scheduled for Tuesday

An observance for World AIDS Day will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Asbury United Methodist Church, 501 Elizabeth Street in Charleston. The event will end with a candlelight processional to the Living AIDS Memorial Garden on the city's East End. The Charleston Gay Men's Chorale will perform at the church and the garden.

The observance will be filmed and included in Roger Banks' documentary "For the Living." Banks and his crew are the recipients of the 2015 Red Ribbon Award. His crew includes: Zach Labin, assistant director; Sheridan Cleland, cinematographer; Lisa Tignor, production assistant; Steve Kwiatkowski, sound recording; Jon Loudin, post production sound; Zach Labin, editing; and Omar Musisko, original music.

Refreshments will be served at the Garden by Food Among the Flowers.
