A trailer was destroyed by fire in Rand early Friday morning.
Bill White, chief of the Rand Volunteer Fire Department, said the call about the fire came in just after 4 a.m., and volunteer firefighters from Rand and Malden spent more than an hour putting out the fire at 5706 Raven Drive.
When firefighters arrived, they found the trailer and the side of a nearby house on fire, White said.
No one was reported injured, according to Kanawha County Metro 911 dispatchers.
"It had been kind of half-abandoned anyway," White said of the trailer.
He did not know the cause of the fire, but said a neighbor across the street reported hearing an explosion.
