CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia residents have an opportunity to add a little patriotic and civic pride to the holiday season.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin and his wife, Joanne, are inviting residents to honor military personnel and first responders by submitting photos to be displayed on two recognition trees located in the Governor's Reception Room. Tomblin says the trees have become an important part of his family's holiday celebration.

Residents can submit photos of their loved ones or friends who have served or are currently serving in the military or as a first responder until Nov. 25. Submitted photos will not be returned.

The recognition trees will be displayed in the Governor's Reception Room at the State Capitol Complex during the upcoming holiday season.
